Fall Bucket List

fall bucket list

I’m still waiting for it to feel like fall here in Raleigh, but I’m ready to start doing all the fall things! Fall is definitely my favorite season. From cozy sweaters to leaves changing colors to all things pumpkin flavored, fall comes with all of my favorite things. I’ve put together a fall bucket list with the things that I most want to do this fall.

Every year I always find that it’s gotten too late to do all of the fall things that I wanted to do. So this year I’m prioritizing and putting all of my top activities into a fall bucket list.

1. Take a trip to the mountains

Living in Raleigh, we’re only about two hours from the mountains. I’d love to do an overnight trip to do some hiking and explore a new town in my new home state.

2. Visit a pumpkin patch

I haven’t been to a pumpkin patch since I was a kid. It’s been on my list for a while now. Even if I don’t come home with a pumpkin, I’d love to spend the day drinking apple cider and maybe taking a hayride.

3. Visit the state fair

The highlight of my fall last year was visiting the NC State Fair. I’m not big on rides, but there’s so much good food to eat and cool things to see.

4. Go hiking

My husband and I love spending a few hours exploring different trails at Umstead Park. I bet it’s really pretty when the leaves start changing.

5. Find a new chili recipe

Chili is the perfect fall food. And even without eating meat, there are so many different varieties to try. Our go-to recipe for the past few years has been Glowing Fridge’s pumpkin chili.

What’s on your fall bucket list? Do you have any activities that you want to try this year or any that you do every year?
